News: ProcessMiner Appoints Bill Woodall to Scientific Advisory Board

Woodall is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, a Fellow of the American Society for Quality, and an elected member of the International Statistical Institute.

ProcessMiner™ announced today that Professor William H. Woodall has been appointed to the company’s Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Woodall is Professor Emeritus of Statistics at Virginia Tech, a former editor of the Journal of Quality Technology (2001–2003), and was a longtime Associate Editor of Technometrics.

With the appointment, ProcessMiner’s Advisory Board now comprises four directors, all of whom are external and independent. Woodall joins ProcessMiner Advisory Board members Bill Donges, Managing Director and Founder at PdActive Inc.; Jeff Fulgham, Consulting Executive, Corporate Visions, and President, StrategyH2O; and Chris Luettgen, Professor of the Practice and Associate Director, Georgia Institute of Technology.

Woodall has published well over 150 papers, most on aspects of process monitoring and health-related surveillance. He is the recipient of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Shewhart Medal (2002), the European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics Box Medal (2012), and the ASQ William G. Hunter Award (2019). For individual papers, he and coauthors have received the Jack Youden Prize (1995, 2003), the ASQ Brumbaugh Award (2000, 2006), the Ellis Ott Foundation Award (1987), the Soren Bisgaard Award (2012), the Lloyd S. Nelson Award (2014), and a best paper award from IIE Transactions on Quality and Reliability Engineering (1997).
